Public Works Committee Meeting
Public Works Committee Meeting Council Chambers 222 West Hargett Street
By a wide and substantial margin, Raleigh voters in District E elected Bonner Gaylord to fill the seat vacated by long-term Republican Philip Isley, on Tuesday, October 6th. Gaylord received more votes than any other district candidate in Raleigh. He won his district race, defeating his opponent, Waheed Haq, by a 76 percent to 24 percent margin, in unofficial results.
"I am humbled and honored by the overwhelming support of the voters in District E," said Gaylord. "Voters responded to our message about managing Raleigh's growth, lower taxes and keeping an eye on government spending. I look forward to working with the other members of the new council to keep Raleigh moving in the right direction," said Gaylord.
