Pro Growth Downtown to responsibly develop and utilize best resource Raleigh has!
I had the pleasure of meeting Bonner Gaylord when presenting a proposal to the Kane Realty Corporation regarding North Hills. I was impressed with his knowledge, demeanor, and work ethic. I myself put in nearly 100 hours some work weeks and think Bonner must be close to the same with as prolific as he is with emails, his schedule and events. I believe that Bonner has taken that same enthusiasm for his job he has created for North Hills and duplicated it in his position on the City Council. He seems genuinely interested in properly representing his district as well as doing the best job he can. Bonner asks questions on many topics that other council members do not, allowing him to not only learn how to better perform his job, but also question and poke the Council’s agenda from outside the box. I look forward to working with Bonner at Kane Realty in the future and feel safe with Bonner’s direction in City Council.
Bonner Gaylord has done a great job on City Council particularly in dealing with the issue of Raleigh’s growth. He has been an excellent advocate for sustainable, quality development in our City. I recommend Bonner for relection to Raleigh’s City Council. Gordon Grubb
Bonner is an incredible leader and a master conversationalist. He is task and goal oriented with a passion for thought provoking conversation. He can speak about high-pressured issues and philosophical quandaries one minute and sports and his kids’ the next. He is a humble man with a great heart for the City of Raleigh. He is one of the rare politicians who are in it to serve the community, not for their own personal gain.
Bonner is exactly what we as a city need and what our country’s political system is lacking. . He has a high degree of integrity and does what he thinks is best for the city regardless of party affiliation or popularity. Our city has been better led since Bonner joined the council. He has helped us to make good decisions as a city and prevented us from making some very bad ones. I thank him for his service and strongly support his running again to serve our great city.
I highly recommend Bonner as a city council man. He has been an excellent advocate for neighborhoods and developers. He has a passion for the city and represents us well -John Preiss
Bonner is a fair minded, top level manager. He has managed to create a more “can-do” atmosphere in a difficult retail environment and has worked to see the key issues facing his retailers with common sense and clarity.
Bonner is one of our favorite clients at SeeClickFix. He was able to get the local media, his fellow councilors and City Hall to work harmoniously with a private company to enable open government and civic participation in Raleigh. He is a no bs, get it done guy who’s easy to work with, honest and fair.
I have found Bonner to be a fair and open-minded member of the Raleigh City Council. There is not the unfortunate predictabilty you have with some members of the Council as all items get their proper consideration with him.
Bonner’s progressive voice on development issues, environmental stewardship, and making Raleigh a technologically progressive and competitive city are a welcome addition to our City Council . We appreciate Bonner’s service to the community.
Bonner has brought Raleigh City government to the dining room tables of his peers. Having a voice of our generation on City Council has made me feel more connected to the “powers that be” who run our city. His vision for a more open government is right on time and just what Raleigh needs to continue its smart growth pattern. Bonner has made himself available to all Raleigh residents through many social media platforms and technological programs intended to make City government more responsive. Because I support his visions for Raleigh’s future and because of his efforts to be more accessible to all residents, I highly recommend Bonner Gaylord for re-election to the Raleigh City Council.
I have known Bonner for several years, having lived in the same Raleigh neighborhood. Bonner is knowlegable on the issues and willing to reach out to support the community, such as weighing in on the School Board diversity policy debate, saving the city from costly building ventures, or in helping with local community organization events. He’s extremely driven and good at what he does.
As a fellow Raleigh City Councilor, I’ve had many opportunities over the last couple years to work with Bonner on the tough challenges facing our city. With each challenge, Bonner has established a record of support for the development policies that have led to Raleigh’s top national rankings in job creation and quality growth, as well as the fiscal policies that have kept Raleigh’s combined cost of services the lowest in the triangle. Looking ahead, Bonner’s combination of thoughtfulness, innovation and business sense will make him a key member of future Councils as we continue working together to keep Raleigh healthy and competitive in the long run. Bonner brings a refreshing perspective to the Raleigh City Council through his youthful enthusiasm, his interest (and passion) in new technologies, and his leadership in thought-provoking events such as City Camp. His business expertise is also evident in the success and growth of North Hills, now referred to as “Midtown.” Bonner is assured a seat on the Council for a second term, and I’m anxious to hear what initiatives he will champion.
Bonner is commited to making our community a better place for everyone. Bonner has a broad perspective in this regard and I am focusing this recommendation on his personal support for efforts to coordinate area human service agencies helping homeless individuals including homeless families with children, homeless veterans, homeless men and women and homeless youth. Bonner hosted and helped to coordinate a very successful fundraiser during this past year which enabled the Raleigh / Wake Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness gain a full year of funding. This funding enabled local congregations to help support and house homeless families with children and gained administrative funding to help area homeless service agencies work better together. With growing limitations on local and federal budgets these efforts to work collaboratively become increasingly important. Bonner has become personally involved to help with this community effort to help persons who are homeless and among those most in need.
I had the opportunity to serve with Bonner on the board of the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association in 2009 and 2010. I was always impressed with his ability to get right to the root of issues and make measured and intelligent suggestions in how to best move the organization forward. Bonner also has the ability to put others at ease and always listens and considers other’s thoughts in a respectful manner. I feel he is a very good collaborator with high integrity and would be an asset to any group.
