Speaker: Diane Sauer, Director of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources for the City of Raleigh.
Diane has served as director of the department since October 2009 and has worked for the City and PRCR department since 1985. Her career includes Specialized Recreation Services Supervisor, Community Center Program Director, Marketing Administrator and Recreation Superintendent.
She is a graduate of Auburn University with a BS in Education and began career working with the Specialized Recreation Services program that serves youth and adults with mental and physical disabilities. She completed the UNC Municipal Administration program and the National Recreation and Park Association Director’s School.
